Authentic look and style.
Rugged handmade look
with thick leather and stitching. Built to last a lifetime. Works for a variety of Medieval and Renaissance persona, excellent for Renaissance Fairs where you generally have no pockets but need to carry all your modern day accessories. The large 8" length, 6" height, up to 2.5" deep store about twice as much as the cute suede pouches better suited for fairy folk :)
The Medieval belt pouch was in use long before the invention of pockets and was predecessor to the Celtic sporran.
Comments:
Nicely done at this price with good quality materials and heavy stitching. Uses strap and loop for secure single hand open/close as well as inside flaps that help keep items in place when active or opening the bag to dig around. This easily fits my keys, wallet, business cards, cell phone, glasses, and yes, a banana... substitute snack of your choice. Thanks for checking out my items!

Day pouches
are usually leather shovel pouches, sometimes with simple adornment, embossed or hand-tooled with Celtic, thistle, or other designs on the flap and body. This style of traditional purse was convenient to use on a daily basis.
* During the
16th century
, pockets increased in popularity and prevalence. In European clothing, pockets began by being hung like purses from a belt, which could be concealed beneath a coat or jerkin to discourage pickpocketing and reached through a slit in the outer garment
.
